OFFICIAL LANGUAGE

All presentations will be given in French, English and one in Spanish.
Simultaneous translation (English & French) will be provided to the participants.

 

BADGES

A name badge will be provided with your registration documents on site. For security and regulation purposes, the wearing of this badge is compulsory at all times both inside the Lyon Convention Centre and at all official events organized within the context of the conference.

 

SECURITY
Because of the “vigipirate” plan, security measures must be strengthened. All participants will therefore be checked at the entrance of the building and luggage will systematically be opened. Therefore we strongly advise you, if possible, to leave your luggage at your hotel.

 

CLOAKROOM

A cloakroom is at the participants’ disposal next to the Welcome Area. Please make sure that no personal belongings are left after closing each day.

The cloakroom is managed by the UNICEF (United Nations International Children Emergency Fund).

LUNCHES & BREAKS

Lunches and coffee breaks are included in the registration fees.

Lunches and breaks on Monday 27th and Tuesday 28th August will take place at Level Rhone (+1).

Lunches and breaks on Wednesday 29th, Thursday 30th and Friday 31st August will take place in the Exhibition Area (Level -2).

 

EXHIBITION

The Exhibition Area is held in the Forum 2 and 3, level -2 from Wednesday 29th to Friday 31st August 2018.

 

E-POSTERS

Discussed and Display E-Posters will be at level -2 during lunches and breaks.

 

SPEAKERS PREVIEW ROOM

A Speakers Preview Room is installed next to the Auditorium Lumières in the Salon Lumière (follow signs on site). Its role is to coordinate and ensure the overall smooth running of the congress sessions and to assist presenters for any requests they may have. Power Point presentations have to be handed over TWO hours before the beginning of each session at the latest.

 

FUTURE MEETINGS

Literature presenting future meetings of interest to the Congress participants is displayed on the Future Meetings table located within the exhibition area.

 

CERTIFICATES OF ATTENDANCE

Certificates of attendance will be issued only if attendees fill in the online conference survey.

 

ACCOMPANYING PERSON

Please collect your Lyon City Card at the Welcome Desk.

 

SMOKING POLICY

Please note that smoking is prohibited by-Law within the Congress premises.

However, there is a smoking area accessible at level -2.

 

CELLULAR PHONES

Delegates and participants are kindly requested to turn off their mobile phones when entering the meeting rooms.

 

CLIMATE AND CLOTHING

The weather in Lyon in August is usually hot and sunny with daily temperatures ranging from 25°C to 35°. 
Night temperatures are usually mild.

DUPLICATION, RECORDING, PHOTOS  

Photography, audio-taping, video-recording, digital taping or any other form of duplication is strictly prohibited in the session rooms and poster areas. In the exhibition area, pictures or film are allowed if permitted by the concerned exhibitor.

 

ELECTRICITY

Electricity used in France is 220 Volts; its frequency is 50 Hz and the plugs have two male contact points. 
Plan to bring a transformer for your electrical or electronic equipment using different voltage.

 

INSURANCE & LIABILITY

The Organizers will accept no liability for personal injuries sustained by or for loss or damage to property belonging to Congress participants, either during or as a result of the Congress or during all events.

Participants are strongly recommended to seek insurance coverage for health and accident, lost luggage and trip cancellation.

Lost items should be returned to the Congress Welcome Desk. Should you lose anything, please report to this desk for assistance.
